Disc Golf and Trail project launched

Disc Golf is off to a flying start in Cranberry. At its October 5 meeting, the Township’s Board of Supervisors approved a proposal from Herbert, Rowland & Grubic, Inc. to perform surveying, engineering, and design services for the 18-hole course on 36 mostly wooded acres of North Boundary Park. A serpentine nature trail connecting tees throughout the course – which at 10,700 feet would become one of the world’s longest – will be part of the project. There are no plans to collect fees for playing the disc golf course, which is expected to be completed and open for public use by the fall of 2018.
