According to Cranberry’s fleet management criteria, the parameters for replacing Police Unit 467– a Ford Expedition with 78,000 miles, acquired by the Township in 2009 – have now been met. At its December 3 meeting, Cranberry’s Board of Supervisors agreed to sell the vehicle to Clarion County 9-1-1 for $5,000 during its December 3 meeting. The SUV has since been replaced in Cranberry’s fleet with a 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe. The direct inter-municipal sale of service vehicles is permitted under the state’s Second Class Township Code.
