[ARCHIVED] New police patrolman sworn in

Pittsburgh native Randall Bauer was sworn in as a Township police patrolman by Cranberry’s Board of Supervisors at its meeting on June 30. Bauer, a graduate of the Utica College branch of Syracuse University with a major in criminal justice, most recently worked for the Carnegie-Mellon University police force and before that, as a member of the North Charleston police department in South Carolina. Following four years as a star college hockey player for Utica College, which earned him a full scholarship, Bauer became a volunteer assistant coach to the Citadel College hockey team while in Charleston. Following his return to the Pittsburgh area, he continued his studies, earning a Master’s degree in law and public policy. Since 2011, Bauer has lived with his wife, and now with the couple’s two young sons, in Cranberry Township. For more information, contact Jeff Schueler, Director, Public Safety
