With the re-development of the Westinghouse building ongoing, expanded educational opportunities for the region are on the horizon.
The Board of Supervisors on August 4 approved a conditional use for 23,327 square feet of nonpublic educational institution use within the Westinghouse building.
South College currently has administrative offices on the first floor at 3000 Westinghouse Drive and is proposing the addition of a nonpublic educational institution on the second floor. No more than 100 students would be at the building at the same time. Outside of occasional evenings and weekends, operations would consistently be 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekdays.
