A plan to improve the flow of traffic in a popular Township drive-thru is on the way.
Chick-Fil-A, 1700 Route 228, was granted a conditional use to reconfigure drive-thru lanes and the parking lot at the 4,903-square-foot restaurant.
Built in 2003 and updated in 2017, the popular restaurant has seen its business switch to primarily drive-thru orders. The existing order delivery canopy will be demolished, and two new canopies constructed. Two lanes will be used, and an additional full access point will be created on Longtree Way. This will reduce the traffic queue from spilling into nearby business parking lots.
Additionally, dedicated walkways and pedestrian connections will allow for safer access to the building.
