Golf Course Bridge Dedicated to Hadley

Golf Ball

Dick Hadley took great pride in all he did.

That pride and dedication to making the Township a better place lives on in perpetuity at Cranberry Highlands Golf Course, where the cart path bridge was officially dedicated in Hadley’s name on May 12.

Signage noting the Dick Hadley Memorial Bridge, as well a plaque highlighting his work, were unveiled to Dick’s family, friends, and colleagues during the hour-long event.

A bagpiper played to kick off and end the ceremony. Speakers including former Township Manager Jerry Andree, Miracle League President Mike Sherry, Board of Supervisors Member John Skorupan, and Hadley’s son, Jeff, gave insight into Dick’s life of service.

While each offered a different perspective, there was a common theme: Hadley cared greatly for Cranberry Township and those in the community, and he always did what he believed was right and would best benefit that community.

The event also featured a “last shot” by Hadley’s sons and Board of Supervisors members Karen Newpol, Bruce Hezlep, Mazzoni, and Skorupan. Each teed off from the first hole using special commemorative golf balls that will serve as keepsakes from the event.
