Join the Cranberry Area Diversity Network in the library's Franklin Station room for a foreign film and munchies on Saturday, January 21 from 12:00 PM - 3:30 PM. For 2017, we're beginning with the Argentine movie "Valentin."
Screened in Spanish with English subtitles, the story revolves around the world of an eight-year-old boy, Valentín (Noya), who dreams of one day becoming an astronaut. While caught in the middle of his family, he attempts to better the bewildering world around him. Following the movie, we'll enjoy appetizers provided by La Mendocina Argentine Catering as Sharon and Dolores Beck lead a discussion of the film. A $5 per person cash donation will be collected at the door, and will cover the cost of food. (2002) Rated PG-13 for some thematic elements and language.
