The Cranberry Public Library is honored to host Shulamit Bastacky, a Holocaust survivor, on Monday, January 22, 2018 at 6:00 PM for a history roundtable.
Born in Lithuania in 1941, Ms. Bastacky survived the first few years of her life being hidden in a basement by a Catholic nun. Reunited with her father after the war, Ms. Bastacky lived in Poland and Israel before moving to Pittsburgh in 1963. Ms. Bastacky is a volunteer with the Holocaust Center of Pittsburgh, and a past president of the center's Holocaust Survivors Organization.
