Cranberry’s current zoning ordinance regulates the size of commercial signs. But it does not regulate them proportionately. As a result, a 15,000 square foot building and a 300,000 structure would both qualify for the same 200 square foot sign size. To better match the scale of signs with the scale of the buildings they attach to, Cranberry’s Board of Supervisors, at its January 30 meeting, considered a revision to the ordinance which would allow sign size to increase in proportion to the size of the building. The Board approved advertising that code revision and will consider adopting it at their March 6 meeting.
