New radar speed display signs were tested recently along Peters Road with positive results. In a joint effort between the Police and Engineering Departments, the signs are easily installed and will be moved from around the Township. Using state-of-the-art technology, data from the signs is remotely downloaded for instant results. The data will be analyzed to identify problem areas, enabling the Police to target enforcement and streamline operations.
Initially, the focus will be on “collector” roadways in the Township - those carrying the highest volumes of through-traffic. In the coming weeks, you’ll spot the speed sign along Township roads including Ehrman, Haine School, Powell, Unionville, and North Boundary Roads, and Heights Drive.
