Burns Industrial Equipment, a full-service forklift equipment dealership based in Pittsburgh, is looking to add a new location in Thorn Hill Industrial Park. It has proposed a 60,000 square foot building on a previously undeveloped 6.1 acre lot along Thorn Hill Road Extension. A leading supplier of material handling equipment, the company is Southwestern Pennsylvania’s authorized dealer for Yale, Taylor, Taylor-Dunn, and Combilift products. The company currently operates in Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Ohio, and Maryland, as well as Kentucky. Following a hearing on the company’s proposal at the Township’s Board of Supervisors’ January 29 meeting, the Board agreed to consider action on the applicant’s conditional use approval at its February 5 meeting.
