A project to install a new Waterpark feature aimed at the 2-to-5-year-old is moving forward.
The sand play area at the Waterpark has created operational issues with sand infiltrating the pump system, and has become home to nesting bees, creating a safety hazard. The area has also reached its life expectancy and equipment had been removed prior to the 2023 season.
The Board of Supervisors on December 7 approved the purchase and installation of equipment from Vortex USA Inc. The new, age-appropriate attraction will feature a splash pad aimed at younger pool guests, complete with small slides and shade coverings.
