The next and final phase of upgrades to the Brush Creek Water Pollution Control Facility is on the horizon.
On March 7, the Board will consider land development revisions to the existing Brush Creek Water Pollution Control Facility. This will set the stage for completing the solid handling process upgrades to better service the community.
The facility was previously upgraded and expanded in 2018. However, the solids handling portion of that project was deferred at the time. The project includes the installation of two new anaerobic digesters, additional waste sludge holding facilities, the construction of a new solids processing building, and other ancillary improvements to the influent pump station. The existing aerobic digesters and belt filter presses on site will be demolished.
The Board will also consider approving a contract with Vogel Disposal Service Inc. to handle the disposal of bio-solids, grit, and screening.
