Calling all BBQ enthusiasts: Do you have what it takes to be crowned the first-ever 16066 BBQ Bash Rib Cook-Off Champion?
The Township is looking for 10 passionate contestants ready to bring their boldest, most mouthwatering flavors to the grill. Whether you're a seasoned pitmaster or a backyard BBQ enthusiast, this is your time to shine!
Show off your skills, enjoy cold drinks, and make unforgettable memories at this sizzling community event, set for Saturday, September 20 on the Armstrong Great Lawn at the Township Municipal Center, 2525 Rochester Road. The event is rain or shine.
Sign up as an individual or form a team with your neighborhood crew, nonprofit group, or local business. Selected participants will be notified by August 29, 2025.
The Township will provide one rack of ribs per contestant, table and chairs, an apron, a personalized yard sign for display in the cooking area, and access to electricity.
Participants must provide a 10x10 pop-up tent, all cooking equipment (including a smoker/grill/portable oven, tongs, pans, sauces, spices, gloves, wood, extension cords, etc.).
Cook-off ribs will be served to a panel of judges who will rate presentation, tenderness, taste/flavor, and originality.
All contestants will be recognized at the event and featured on Township social media channels. Prizes will be awarded to the top three participants.
