A multi-year project aimed at furthering connectivity in the Township is kicking off.
The Township’s Greenways Plan was introduced during a May Board of Supervisors meeting, with the Board adopting the Plan on June 26. The approved resolution authorizes staff to begin implementing recommended actions.
This will be accomplished by establishing a Trails, Agriculture, and Conservation (TAC) Subcommittee within the Cranberry Township Community Chest. This group will further develop the Township’s open space system, including conservation efforts at Powell Farm.
The long-term vision for linking nearly 3,000 acres through a network of trails, parks, and natural corridors could take 10 to 15 years.
