The Board of Supervisors on October 2 approved several contracts and purchases, including:
- A design contract with HATCH for an isolation water tank at the Public Safety Training Facility. An analysis and hydraulic modeling performed during fire training events showed that closing the valve could result in notable pressure spikes. HATCH will look at possible solutions before making a recommendation to the Board. HATCH already maintains the Township’s water model and knows the water system.
- A contract with BIOREM Environmental for activated carbon at the Brush Creek Water Pollution Control Facility. Activated carbon absorbs toxic substances and pollutants that are not easily bio-degradable, including the smallest micro-organisms. It also can remove odors and coloring that can occur in the treatment process, improving the overall quality of surface and groundwater sources, ultimately making for a cleaner, more environmentally friendly community.
- A contract with Triangle Press Inc. for printing services for the Township newsletter.
- The purchase of a 2025 Dodge Durango for the Police Department from Kajarudan Inc. (Jim Shorkey Auto Group) via a Co-Stars contract. It will replace a 2019 Dodge Charger to be sold at an online auction.
