The agitated response of a foster dog to its master’s heart attack on July 3 is credited with saving the life of Cranberry resident Chuck Weintraub. The animal’s barking alerted neighbors to the emergency, which occurred as Weintraub was mowing his lawn. When his neighbors saw what had happened, they called 9-1-1. Cranberry police and EMS responded quickly, rushing him to a hospital for emergency treatment. At the Board of Supervisors’ meeting on September 5, Weintraub thanked the Township’s police, EMTs and neighbors for their life-saving actions.
