A resolution authorizing a Road Improvements Agreement between the Township and the Catholic Diocese of Pittsburgh was adopted by Cranberry’s Board of Supervisors at its November 7 meeting. The agreement provides for the church to finance certain improvements to Franklin Road, Mars Road, and Rt. 228 – each of which abut the site of the new Bishop Wuerl high school. The improvements are being made in association with construction and operation of that school. They include new north and south right turning lanes on Franklin, a new intersection with Mars and Franklin Roads, and related improvements along Rt. 228. The high school is expected to begin offering classes in the fall of 2014. For more information, contact Township Engineer Jason Kratsas at Jason.kratsas@cranberrytownship.org.
