Cranberry resident Bruce Hezlep, an information technology manager who had served as president of Cranberry Township’s Volunteer Fire Company for the past five years, has been sworn in to a six-year term as a member of Cranberry’s Board of Supervisors. At the end of last year, following his election, Hezlep resigned his fire company office to avoid a conflict of interest between his two posts. District Justice David Kovach, who had previously served as a Sergeant in Cranberry’s police department, administered the oath before the start of the Board’s January 6 organizational meeting where Hezlep was appointed liaison to the Township’s Public Works department. In addition to remaining a firefighter, Hezlep is an Assistant Boy Scout Leader and an active member of the Cranberry Township Sunrise Rotary Club.
