As of Friday morning, weather forecasts for Western Pennsylvania were all over the map. But just in case, Cranberry Township Public Works personnel were preparing for a potentially serious blast of snow and cold temperatures this weekend with personnel from other Township departments on standby to staff extended shifts of road maintenance work as needed. Keeping cars from parking on Township streets is critical for snow plows to navigate Cranberry’s local roads. Moving and issuing citations for illegally parked cars will be a police department priority throughout the weather event. Residents are also urged to keep their trash carts back from the road and to clear snow away from fire hydrants.
