When a new home, apartment or business taps into the Township’s sanitary sewer system, there is a one-time fee of $2,184. Starting February 1, that fee will increase to $2,478. The $294 hike, which applies to the capacity component of the tap-in fee, was approved by Cranberry’s Board of Supervisors at its January 30 meeting. The increase, which will take effect February 1, was prompted by the need for additional revenue to finance planned improvements to the Brush Creek wastewater treatment plant.
