Residents facing hard-packed snow, slush and ice blocking their driveways following street clearing operations on February 5 were blessed with help from neighbors. Congregants and clergymen from Grace and Northbridge churches pitched in and voluntarily worked to clear openings for those who had requested help through Cranberry’s Department of Public Works. At their March 27 meeting, Cranberry’s Board of Supervisors publicly thanked the volunteers who pitched in to create safe passage for elderly residents and those with medical conditions who were concerned that the slushy blockage could trap them in the event of an emergency.
