Cranberry’s Board of Supervisors has authorized holding a hearing on May 29 to consider re-zoning two small residential properties along Franklin Road, a little north of Rt. 228. The two adjacent parcels are sandwiched between two much larger properties owned by the CDM Equity Group, LLC, which also has both of the residential properties under agreement. Rezoning them to C-2, Cranberry’s Highway Commercial designation, would enable the developer to proceed with a master plan for the entire property, which extends from Hillmont Drive on Franklin, south to Rt. 228. Preliminary discussions of the development have included retail, banking, and convenience stores, as well as residential apartments.
