Cranberry’s Board of Supervisors ratified a new three-year collective bargaining agreement with the Cranberry Township Police Association at its April 1 meeting. Terms of the contract, which was reached without arbitration, covers the department’s 28 uniformed officers and includes a 2.75% wage increase in the first year, and 2.5% in both the second and third years, a Deferred Retirement Option Program, increased flexibility in scheduling, and additional employee contributions to health care costs. In announcing the agreement, Supervisor John Skorupan observed that “Cranberry’s police department is the most professional local law enforcement agency in Butler County and among the finest in all of southwestern Pennsylvania.” For more information, contact Township Manager Jerry Andree at jerry.andree@cranberrytownship.org.
