Cranberry’s Volunteer Fire Company has been at work for the past 18 months developing specifications for a 75-foot aerial ladder truck to be housed at the Haine Fire Station. At the Township Board of Supervisors’ meeting on June 5, Glick Fire Equipment/Pierce Manufacturing was awarded a contract to build the truck. The new piece of apparatus, which is expected to be delivered by the end of April 2015, is a component of the Company’s ten-year Facilities and Equipment plan. On April 1, representatives of the Fire Company presented Cranberry’s Board of Supervisors with an overview of the new truck’s design and received approval to solicit bids for its purchase.
