A motion to approve the renovation of two of Community Park’s four tennis courts, along with the construction of a new fifth court using proceeds from the June sale of a narrow strip of land that abuts Cranberry’s Community Park, together with rent for the use of its tennis courts from Seneca Valley High School out of funds collected from a delinquent contractor, were approved by Cranberry’s the Board of Supervisors at its September 4 meeting. The fifth court will be built immediately to the west of the four current courts, in the area currently used as a small, gravel parking lot. Light stands for the courts will be relocated to provide additional space for the court expansion. The project’s estimated cost is $150,000.
