Cranberry Township’s fee ordinance, which is updated each year, will see increases in several areas of service, pending Board approval. Under the proposed rate schedule, unmetered sewer service, for homes using well water, will go from $46 to $55 a month. Deposits on temporary water meters at construction sites will go up by $100 to $500. Road pavement opening permits for pipe installations will increase, as will various Municipal Center room rental rates. New fees for use of the dek hockey rink and for wireless communication facilities are also included in the new ordinance. However, a credit for water and sewer customers who elect for all-electronic billing and payment will increase from 60 cents to $1 a month. The Board, which reviewed the proposed fees at its September 23 meeting, will consider the updated rate schedule for adoption at its October 2 meeting.
