Cranberry’s Board of Supervisors has agreed to consider accepting the findings of a traffic impact study at the intersection Rt. 19, Glen Eden and North Boundary roads. PennDOT requires the Township to approve the study’s results before it can authorize the construction of a proposed traffic roundabout on North Boundary Road. The study’s findings will be formally considered for acceptance by Cranberry’s Board of Supervisors at its November 6 meeting.
Construction of the roundabout is a component of the traffic circulation plan proposed by Dominic Gigliotti for his Marketplace Development, which will eventually include properties on both the southeast and northwest corners of the intersection.
Accepting the study’s results allows the project to advance without creating a new signalized intersection on North Boundary only a short distance away from its already-signalized intersection with Rt. 19.
