Township officials are preparing for another round of snow and ice this weekend. Emergency response and snow removal operations continue to be a top priority.
Public safety, traffic alerts, cancellations, or schedule changes will be issued on an as-needed basis, through Cranberry Connect Alerts. Anyone may sign up for these alerts, via email or text at: CranberryConnect.
Reminders for residents and businesses:
Keep the roadways open for snowplows- on-street parking is prohibited. Cars parked on local streets can block snow removal equipment and emergency vehicles. If you are having company, especially during the Super Bowl, make sure your guests have room to park off the street. Violators can be fined. Winter Road Care.
Shovel snow from your sidewalk onto your own property instead of the street to avoid causing dangerously slippery conditions for both motorists and pedestrians.
If there is a hydrant on or near your property, please remember to clear the snow around the hydrant allowing the fire department quick access during emergencies. Fire Hydrant Safety.
