Building permits issued in Cranberry during 2014 reached a total construction value of $115.9 million, Community Development Director Ron Henshaw told Cranberry’s Board of Supervisors. The year-end summary, presented January 29, includes $50 million in residential construction, an upward shift from previous years. The Township’s growth in rental apartments continued in 2014 with the construction of many units for which permits had been issued in 2013. Office space in the Township grew by 122,733 square feet during the year while retail and restaurant space grew by 3,797 and 50,990 square feet, respectively.
