On March 26, as part of its fire safety and prevention initiative, members of the Cranberry Township Volunteer Fire Company, CTVFC, delivered a rack of fire safety-related books written for young readers to the Cranberry Public Library. The donated books are displayed in a handmade red and white bookcase shaped like a fire engine and equipped with several child-size seats, as well as tiny ladders, pike hooks, and other classic implements of firefighting. Originally housed in a Robinson Township school library back in the late ‘90s, the newly remodeled fire truck bookcase will remain a permanent fixture in the Cranberry Library’s Children’s Room.
