A formerly ambitious Master Plan for the Village of Cranberry Woods involving a significant volume of earthmoving, has been scaled back. Madison Development, which purchased most of the 57.11 acre site from Creative Real Estate Development Company last year, now plans a mix of apartments, townhomes, and commercial buildings. The property had initially been visualized as the site for a more intensive development anchored by the Pens-UPMC facility, now under construction in Cranberry Springs, a mile away. At its April 2 meeting, Cranberry’s Board of Supervisors approved the Madison Group’s application for conditional use approval of the re-configured site.
