[ARCHIVED] Ever use a fire extinguisher?

Lots of people have fire extinguishers in their homes, and just about everybody has one at their workplace. But very few have actually operated one, so most people aren’t exactly sure how it’s done. Waiting for an emergency to learn their operation is a bad idea. So Cranberry’s Fire Company will be holding hands-on sessions during two days this summer, showing anyone interested how to use a fire extinguisher effectively. On both Wednesday August 19 and Wednesday September 16, members of the Cranberry Volunteer Fire Company will provide you with instruction in the P.A.S.S. method – Pull/Aim/Spray/Sweep – using an extinguisher and live flame simulator. No reservation or fee is required. Simply come to the Haine School Road fire station, next to Freedom Square, between 6:30 and 8:30 PM to receive your individual lesson.
