At noon on Saturday, January 30, the Cranberry Area Diversity Network will launch a series it calls Matinee, Mumble and Munch with a feature film English Vinglish, about an Indian woman transplanted to New York whose lack of English becomes a major source of insecurity. Following the 134-minute film in Cranberry Library’s Franklin Station meeting room, guests will be invited to share an assortment of Indian hors d’ oeuvres and participate in a discussion led by Dr. Yasmin Purohit, a Sewickley resident who serves as the Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer at Robert Morris University. The event is free but pre-registration is required.
Co-sponsored by the Diversity Network, Cranberry Library, Cranberry Township and the Sister Cities Association. For more information about the Diversity Network, email Diversity@cranberrytownship.org
