The last remaining junction on Freedom Road in Cranberry without left turn lanes will soon join the network of intersecting streets which enjoy dedicated turning lanes and coordinated traffic signals along the busy corridor. At its March 31 meeting, Cranberry’s Board of Supervisors accepted all contract documents associated with the project, which is being carried out in conjunction with PennDOT using funds from the federal Congestion Mitigation/Air Quality program. Work on the intersection, which starts May 9 and is scheduled to be completed by Halloween, will take place at night. During construction, there will be no lane restrictions between 6:00 AM and 8:00 PM. For more information, Jason Kratsas, Director, Engineering
