[ARCHIVED] Cranberry Community Days kick off this Thursday

Missed seeing Fourth of July fireworks? No worries. On Saturday, July 9, a free fireworks spectacular will conclude Cranberry Township’s 2016 Community Days celebration beginning at 9:45 in Community Park. Community Days, organized by Cranberry Township Community Chest, is a three-day series of family-friendly events, primarily in Community Park, that brings residents and visitors together for food, fun and free entertainment while raising funds to support local nonprofits and CTCC’s Project of the Year. In addition to food kiosks, information booths, vendor stands and inflatable attractions, the event includes an assortment of carnival rides, open-air concerts, art displays and on Thursday, a 1960s-themed car cruise. Booths and other attractions are all situated on a single level, making everything readily accessible to everyone. Parking will remain at $5 – a tax-deductible donation to CTCC. Keystone State Musical Theatre will offer two free concert presentations – one Thursday, another on Saturday. Country and western concerts will be held Thursday and Friday evenings. The event’s concluding concert on Saturday night will feature a Bruce Springsteen tribute band, followed by the fireworks spectacular.
