Cranberry Township’s 30-officer police department now includes two new female members. At the January 3 meeting of Cranberry’s Board of Supervisors, three new patrol officers were administered their oaths of office by Board Chairman Dick Hadley. Robin Winters, Tiffany Shaffer and Jason Giallorenzo are all natives of Butler County. Ms. Winters had previously worked as a police officer in the City of Pittsburgh. Tiffani Shaffer had formerly worked as Deputy Sheriff in Butler County and as a part-time police officer in Saxonburg. Jason Giallorenzo most recently had been employed in the Adams and New Sewickley police departments. All three will serve a six-month probationary period prior to their eligibility for appointments as permanent, full-time officers.
