Public comment on the conditional use application of National Tire and Battery for a 2.5 acre site immediately across Rt. 19 from the signalized access to Streets of Cranberry, was accepted by Cranberry’s Board of Supervisors at its May 25 meeting. NTB and its sister auto service chains, which specialize in automotive fluids, batteries, wiper blades, brakes, steering, suspension and vehicle inspections as well as tires, operates at more than 1,200 locations in 41 states and in Canada. The company was formed by Sears in 1997 and sold to TBC Corporation six years later. Following testimony, the Board agreed to consider action on the NTB application at its June 1 meeting.
