At the end of May, HomeUnion, an online real estate investment management firm, released a list of the best places for families to live based on housing affordability and school quality. Cranberry, with a median home price of $274,000 and a school ranking: 83.9%, came in as the seventh best community in the entire nation. Blue Springs, a suburb of Kansas City, Missouri, was rated first. The HomeUnion recognition follows similar rankings independently issued by other sources over the past year. All of the top 25 communities in the HomeUnion list are suburbs of major cities.
