For the past 30 years, Cranberry’s zoning ordinance has included highly detailed language regarding street lights. But it was written before the advent of LED fixtures. At its June 1 meeting, Cranberry’s Board of Supervisors authorized the advertising of language which would completely replace that section of the code. Under the revision, developers would know more clearly what can and cannot be done. Any new street lights would have to be LED. The update also adds detail about pedestrian lighting along trails. The Board will revisit the proposed update at its June 29 meeting.
