A proposed zoning ordinance amendment would revise and update the Township’s currently minimal requirements for new shopping center development. At its August 31 meeting, Cranberry’s Board of Supervisors authorized advertising a September 28 public hearing on the proposed amendments. The goal of the changes would be to facilitate the development of more pedestrian-oriented, better connected shopping centers characterized by pleasing aesthetics, a strong sense of place, good design principles, and smart, efficient land use.
