Township vehicles, traffic lights, and more go on the block
For as little as $500, you can start bidding on any of three Township vehicles that are about to be sold to the highest bidders on Municibid.com, an eBay-like auction website used by municipalities to liquidate surplus items. At its November 2 meeting, Cranberry’s Board of Supervisors agreed to approve the auctioning of two Ford Explorers, a Chevy Impala, an HP plotter, some swimming pool heaters and eight traffic signals starting November 3 and closing on December 14. Opening bid for all eight traffic lights together is just $25. To bid, go to the Municibid.com website, register, check out the merchandise, give it your best shot, and keep your fingers crossed. Only units of government are eligible to sell items on the website, but anyone can bid and buy. All items are offered as-is, where-is.
