The developers of Laurel Point, a large Planned Residential
Development of 157 single-family units in two phases, are seeking finalapproval from Cranberry’s Board of Supervisors for both the first and second phases
of their project. The PRD is to be builton a 115-acre property acquired from the Fresh Air Camp, adjacent to the Family
Resource Center. Its developers hope tobegin construction of Phase One this year. The plan, which is in the southeastern area of Cranberry, would havevehicle access at two points along Franklin Road, as well as through a trail
connecting it to the adjacent Cranberry Woods Business Park. Laurel Ridge anticipates two types of housing:Condo-style Villas, which would have their lawns and shrubbery maintained by
the homeowners’ association, and Estate Homes, which are larger and for whichthe maintenance would be the individual homeowner’s responsibility. The Board will consider final approval at its
March 1 meeting.
