Four builders have been selected for the major components of
an expansion of the Rt. 19 Cranberry Township Volunteer Fire Company Parkstation. The contract awards, announced
at the March 1 meeting of Cranberry’s Board of Supervisors, include TomlynConstruction for general construction, as well as McCurley Houston Electric,
Hranec Sheet Metal and Vrabel Plumbing. The contracts total $2.1 million with work beginning this spring and
completion expected by October. Theexpansion and renovation project will create new living space allowing
firefighters to rotate overnight stays, sharply reducing emergency responsetimes. The project is part of the Township’s strategic plan with the
Fire Company to attract and retain volunteer firefighters, including the use ofenhanced living facilities.
