Efforts to curb the extreme partisan gerrymandering of
legislative districts in Pennsylvania have become the focus of nationalattention with a court-imposed map currently setting district boundaries. At its April 5 meeting, Cranberry’s Board of
Supervisors adopted a resolution in support of state legislative efforts whichwould amend Pennsylvania’s constitution to assign both legislative and
congressional redistricting to an independent and impartial citizenscommission. The Board also called on
Cranberry’s elected representatives to support passage of those efforts.
