Fresenius Kabi, best known in Western Pennsylvania for its dialysis clinics, is expanding in Cranberry. The company, which is actually a German-based healthcare business that traces its origins back more than 550 years, specializes in medicines and technologies for infusion, transfusion and clinical nutrition used to care for critically and chronically ill patients. At its May 31 meeting, Cranberry’s Board of Supervisors accepted public comment on the company’s conditional use application to expand its current Commonwealth Drive facility by 6,600 square feet to accommodate additional light manufacturing of medical devices. The Board will consider final action on the application at its June 7 meeting.
