Three new officers were sworn in to the Township’s police department at the June 28 meeting of Cranberry’s Board of Supervisors. Mt. Lebanon native Jeremy Norton comes to Cranberry from the Carnegie-Mellon police force. Christopher Schott, who grew up in the North Hills, worked most recently with the University of Pittsburgh’s Police Department. James Cipriani, a native of Center Township, comes to Cranberry from the Beaver Falls police department. All three officers have had training and experience in a variety of police specialties. The three bring Cranberry’s police force to 31, one shy of its fully authorized strength of 32 sworn officers. Efforts to recruit additional candidates are continuing. All three enter the department with the rank of Patrolman.
