Penn Detroit Diesel, which has serviced heavy trucks at its Rt. 19 facility in Cranberry for more than a dozen years, is expanding its business to include truck and generator sales as well as truck rental. It is also changing its name. Following a series of acquisitions, mergers and buyouts over the past decade, the company has changed its name to Penn Power Sales, although it has no affiliation with the electric power company of the same name. At its June 28 meeting, Cranberry’s Board of Supervisors approved reclassification of the company’s local operation to fit its entry into the sales business.
