It’s hard to be competitive in the cutthroat grocery business these days without the ability to sell beer and wine. So, to keep up with the competition, Fresh Thyme Farmers Market, which has stores in 11 mostly midwestern states, opened its doors in the old HH Gregg space at Cranberry Commons Mall this past June. At its August 30 meeting, Cranberry’s Board of Supervisors accepted testimony on the store’s request to approve an inter-municipal liquor license transfer. The store recently purchased its license from a Snack ‘n Pack restaurant in Butler City. Final consideration of the store’s request for approval is scheduled for the Board’s September 6 meeting.
