At its October 3 meeting, Cranberry’s Board of Supervisors approved a contract between the Township and the Breakneck Creek Regional Authority which currently serves homes in eastern Cranberry Township. The Agreement provides for Breakneck to treat wastewater that now passes through the Franklin Acres Lift Station on its way to the Brush Creek treatment plant. The Township will now be able to dismantle that pumping station. Instead, its flow will be carried by gravity into the Breakneck treatment facility. That change will help to lengthen the life of Cranberry’s newly expanded Brush Creek plant, extending the time until the next expansion would be needed.
